Reassurance August 25, 2008

Hey everyone!

   I hope all is well your lives. Mine is a bit crazy. I did not expect to be working this much especially because everyone has been saying “it’s the slow season.” I am getting well over “overtime” this week and next and I just started!

 I like my job. I just did my first day of On The Job training. It turns out that I can really be an asset here in the smallest way. I see so many people unhappy here and I wonder why. Everyone is so important here and my small job directing you to your seat, asking you to move toward the center, opening the gate, queing you, and more, while small, is just a way to make the BIG picture move. It’s great!!! So many people were mimicking me today when I was doing my “use both sides point” and I laughed because well it was funny.

I think you have to find happiness in the smallest things to be truly happy. I’m glad I found happiness on my first day. Even though the fastpass machine broke as soon as we opened and I was the only one there. Someone said, “She’ll fix it, she’s from Penn State.” I just silently laughed to myself. It’s crazy.

I get to hear the music from HIgh School Musical all the time. I get to hear the Indiana Jones Theme music all the time. I get to see an awesome parade!!! 

 

I really do like it here….after I graduate, I want to be a performer here. It would be amazing!

Disney World!! August 19, 2008

So here I am on the CP!! Finally the time has come!

 

I got my location today and I am very excited to be working in Hollywood studios!!! SOOOOOOO EXCITED!!! Orientation is tomorrow and I can’t wait! i think afterwards, two of my roommates and I will be going to the parks to play!!

 

I have great roommates. We all seemed to bond quickly. My actual roommate and I have been on many shopping trips and are now watching movies today while Fey drops rain all over the ground. She is from Japan and we are bonding nicely!!! I am having a great time so far!

 

I can’t wait to start working and making magic!!!

Happy Birthday and some notes August 15, 2008

Happy Birthday to Joe Jonas!! We are so thankful that you were born today to make us all laugh, smile, and melt. Enjoy your last year as a teenager!!!

I leave for Orlando today!!! WDWCP here I come!! I am actually leaving at midnight tonight so that makes it tomorrow I guess. Anyways, ‘m nervous, excited, and scared all at the same time. It will be a great experience, but me being a family person, I am going to miss my family, both real and psu, very very much. I really do stink at this whole goodbye thing….

One of my best friends from high school is going through that tough time between high school and college. She just graduated and she is learning a lot about life this summer. What a day I had Today

nothing turned out right

It started off just fine

My First Living The Dream Post August 9, 2008

Every Friday at 7:55pm Disney premiers a new episode of Living The Dream: a Jonas Brothers Documentary

TOnight I am relaxing after finishing my internship! I am trying to do my chores and make a scarf/belt for my Pirate costume for Sunday and Watch The Jonas: Live and Mobile MTV event when I stopped my world to watch this weeks LIVING THE DREAM!

And I cried.

 

Nick Singing A Little Bit Longer

This weeks episode was about Nick’s Diabetes. Now I have been following Nick closely because i am quite familiar with the disease. My dad has Type I and so does my aunt. My dad has had a lot of attacks and it can get really scary. I can relate on some level with Nick because I have a type of Asthma that is offset internally and externally (allergies). I’ve had my run hooked up to hospital machines. Nick has inspired me to educate others about asthma and I am creating a website and I hope to speak out about it some day. While I don’t have the “star” power NIck does, I can still be an advocate! I have no one to look up to. As far as I know, I’m the only one of my friends *besides my brother* who has asthma. It can be hard.

Anyways so the Brothers got raw with us about NIck and his condition and I guess it just hit home. There’s a part in the segment where Nick is talking to two really young kids who have pumps and I got really emotional. My dad now has a pump. Anyways, Nick kneeled down to this little girl and said “I’m here for you. Everything is going to be alright” and he grasped her hand. I was like awwwwwww.

 

Anyways it will be on again so make sure you catch it. In the meantime…catch the Boys on MTV Buzzworthy Blog and…

Reasons Why and A Wish August 6, 2008

So many of you are probably wondering why I like the Jonas Brothers. I mean, I am 21 years old and almost a college graduate shouldn’t I be diggin J MAc or something? Well I’m not really into that kind of music anyway so no. The Jonas Brothers are more than great musicians they are guys with great hearts. Here are a few reasons I love them…

1. They Are normal Kids

2. They are sweet as anything

3. They give back!!!! Check out Changeforthechildren

4. They are positive!

5. They love their fans

6. They are family oriented

7. They are true to their real friends (Mandy is a song about an actual friend! and my friend knows her!)

8. They write what they feel

9. They are fun

10. They Make things happen *they rearranged their whole schedules to be on the Ryan Seacrest radio show*

So that’s why I love the guys. They are just great people! I listened to the Ryan Seacrest interview and it was just sweet. Kevin likes country music and Brad Paisley. Finding out all these random things makes me think that if Kevin and I ever knew each other before he became famous, we would be best friends haha. We seriously have so much in common.

One of the things I wish for is to actually get a chance to meet the Jonas Brothers and maybe sit down with them just to talk. I don’t want to know about their love lives or whatever, I just want to know about them. Their likes, dislikes, their music, inspiration, and their family. They seem like fun guys. I know that one day I might the chance to meet them and maybe take a picture, maybe get an autograph with them. But I would just love to listen to them talk about anything. They themselves are so inspiring. I have a friend who actually knows the brothers personally. She was part of the original 5 fans that used to go to all the shows. She is the one who knows the Mandy of “Mandy”. She would probably be able to get me a meet and greet if I asked her. I am not like that though, and I will leave it up to luck or fate or what have you.
